HODAD began with a simple belief: life is too short to spend wishing you were somewhere else. We make clothing for those who carry the island mindset wherever they go.
We never wanted the 9 to 5 life.
HODAD started with two brothers who always felt more at home barefoot than behind a desk. Growing up, we spent every chance we had chasing the coast. Fishing until sunset. Camping on forgotten beaches. Taking road trips with no real destination. Dreaming about disappearing to a tiny Caribbean island where time slows down and nobody asks what you do for a living.
The truth is, we'd rather be stranded on a tropical island than stuck in another Monday morning meeting.
So we built the next best thing.
HODAD isn't about surfing, sailing, or pretending to be wealthy. It isn't your grandparents' resort wear, and it isn't another loud Hawaiian shirt.
It's clothing for people who carry island time with them—even when they're hundreds of miles from the ocean.
Our style is clean, timeless, and relaxed. Inspired by old coastal towns, weathered docks, salt air, and the kind of confidence that doesn't need to show off. Think classic without feeling outdated.
